About the talk: There are many recommendations for the use of non-parametric methods. These can often be found in applied books / journals / programme descriptions. The tenor is that non-parametric methods require no or only minor prerequisites. In this presentation, examples and counter-examples will be used to demonstrate the dangers and misuse of non-parametric methods without precise knowledge of their prerequisites. This concerns situations like the Pre-test for NV, in case of rejection,  Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test, the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test, the so-called 'binding correction', the 'rank transform' method and much more...

We look forward to your participation and insightful discussions during the session!
